MATERIALS AND CARE
In my shop you can find art works made by different materials: charcoal, water soluble pastel, oil pastel and soft pastel.
All of them was made on paper.
I use only professional quality materials and archival paper which means that tart works can live forever if it is properly framed with glass. I can provide framing tips.
Charcoal works were covered with a special fixative however I do not recommend to touch a work surface.
Water soluble pastel works are not sensitive to touch however do not rub a surface of an art work.
Oil pastel works have a bit oily surface so avoid touching a work surface too.
Soft pastel works - careful handling is a must.
Do not touch the painted surface. Putting fingers or other items on top of a pastel work or allowing it to be rubbed or flexed will damage the surface.
Keep a glassine paper on a work until framing.
I usually use standard sizes paper for my art works to frame them easy. So you can buy a standard size frame and do it yourself. Soft pastel work requires a mat.
If you are not sure how to do that, go to your local frame store.
Do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions.
