About

Bio

I graduated university as a software engineer. But my passion to Art and Design led me to Design School in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. I worked as an interior designer independently and helped my clients realize their home dreams.

Creating Art works by hand has always been my passion from childhood. Studying Painting, Academic Drawing, Composition, Color theory at Design School and self-teaching helped me to develop my skills.

After moving to Canada, I  began my own art journey.

I am a multidisciplinary artist and designer who loves nature, flora, architecture and folk art. I prefer working on "soft" grounds - paper and textile. I paint, draw and sketch with soft pastel, watercolor, different types of pencils and pens. I always keep learning and doing experiments with other techniques - acrylic, oil, charcoal, alcohol inks, markers, mixed media on various surfaces. Recently I've discovered for myself block printing and started to create textile and paper collection.

A few years ago I started teaching Art. I believe Art Education is very important and all people can benefit from creating Art. I love people and I am happy to share my skills and knowledge with them.

I was  a volunteer at children camps, neighbourhood community and Russian school as an Art instructor.

I work as an Art Instructor with the City of Guelph, as well as at Continuing Education Upper Grand School Board where I work with adults and seniors. I teach art classes for kids weekly from my home studio and for homeschoolers at their place.

I do Art Workshops for companies and groups of individuals.
