I graduated university as a software engineer. But my passion to Art and Design led me to Design School in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. I worked as an interior designer independently and helped my clients realize their home dreams. I drew my sketches by hand and added to them with computer programs such as ArchiCad.
Creating Art works by hand has always been my passion from childhood. Studying Painting, Academic Drawing, Composition, Color theory at Design School and self-teaching helped me to develop my skills.
After moving to Canada, I started to feel safe, stable and peaceful. I admired Canadian Nature and places. It helped to open my inner creativity and began my art journey.
After teaching myself English through attending night school classes I decided to combine my passion for art with my love to interaction with people.
I started to volunteer at children camps, for neighbourhood community and Russian school as an Art instructor.
Then I got a job as an Art Instructor with the City of Guelph, as well as at Continuing Education Upper Grand School Board where I work with adults and seniors. I teach art classes for kids weekly from my home studio, do workshops, private lessons.
As an artist I love painting with soft pastel and watercolor, doing mixed-media sketches and experiments with other mediums. Everywhere I look, I see scenes that inspire me – in Guelph, Parks where I travel a lot, places in Ontario and in other provinces. Mostly I depict scenes with combinations of man-made structures and Nature. I participate in art exhibitions and art festivals with my pastel works.
In addition currently my goal is to connect my love to art and love to Interior Design together. I've started to do interior decorating consultations.
